Honoring Our Veterans

Celebrated on the anniversary of the end of World War 1, Veterans Day honors those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. At Talking Rock, honoring those who have sacrificed for us is engrained in our passion for community. To thank those who have made it possible for us to experience true freedom. That’s why every year Veterans Day begins with a complimentary round of golf for our local Veterans. A morning dedicated to providing a little R&R for those who have provided so much for our country.

Looking for a way to give back this Veterans Day?
Here are a few ways to honor our Veterans no matter where you are.

Make a Donation

Donations of any size can benefit veterans of all ages and circumstances. Non-profit organizations like Wounded Warrior Project and United Service Organizations (USO) provide a wide variety of services for the veteran community. Or consider donating nearby by reaching out to the local VA to learn what donations are needed.

Volunteer

If donating isn’t an option for you, consider giving your time. Local veteran service organizations like American Legion provide excellent guides on how to get involved within the community.

Say Thank You

Reaching out to a veteran to thank for their service is a small action that can have a tremendous impact. If you personally know a veteran, consider giving them a call, text, or leaving them a note of gratitude this Veterans Day. If you don’t know a veteran, think about sending a letter through Operation Gratitude, a non-profit that delivers cards, letters, and care packages to veterans and military personnel.

Join us in honoring our Veterans this Veterans Day.
