Top 4 Places to See Holiday Lights in Prescott


There’s so much to see during December in Prescott, known as “Christmas City.” A popular choice: Gather the family and plan outings to see fabulous holiday lighting around town for memories in the making! Below are our top four spots to enjoy the dazzle and sparkle of Prescott holiday light displays.

Courthouse Square Lights

Yavapai County lights up more than 100 trees at the iconic courthouse and surrounding spacious plaza. The annual tradition begins with a ceremony the first Saturday of December…one of the must-see events in Prescott each year. The gorgeous display runs throughout the month.

Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary Wild Lights

Don’t miss “Wild Lights and Animal Sights” at Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary!

The holiday light display is rated among the best in the state and is open to the public every Friday and Saturday evening 6-9 p.m. through Dec. 27. The zoo is filled with festive holiday decorations, music and spectacular light displays. Light concessions available, including hot cocoa and coffee. Visit the gift shop for special holiday treasures!

Admission is $5 for HPZS members, $8 for non-members.

Valley of Lights

Here’s a great way to stay toasty warm and view holiday lights in Prescott Valley from the comfort of your car. Through Dec. 30, check out the one-mile display of lights in Fain Park, off 5th St. in Prescott. 6-10 p.m.

Enchanted Christmas

Create special holiday memories at Gateway Mall in Prescott. There’s an amazing indoor holiday-light attraction with themed rooms adorned with more than a half-million lights. A highlight of Enchanted Christmas is the massive Department 56 Christmas Village, which includes buildings from Dickens Christmas, New England, Christmas in the City, Snow Village and North Pole Series. There’s even a Polar Express train running through the village!
