1. Superstition Meadery
The entrance to this first hidden gem is tucked away in the downstairs of a local shop. Enjoy cozy tables, sofa chairs and high tables. It’s a fun place to hang with a speakeasy vibe. Superstition Meadery has an abundance of flavors of Mead, including Tahitian Honeymoon and Peanut Butter Jelly Crime. You can try a taste, a glass, a bottle, or a flight of all 12 Meads for $24.
If you are not familiar with Mead, it’s an alcoholic beverage created by fermenting honey with water, sometimes with fruits, spices, grains or hops. The alcoholic content ranges from about 3.5 percent by volume to more than 20 percent. Most of the beverages’ fermentable sugar is derived from honey.
