Realtor® Tips: Top 5 Reasons to Relocate to Prescott

Jan’s Top 5 Reasons to Relocate to Prescott

Welcome to our new Talking Rock Realtor series, where we share expert advice from top local realtors.

Our first blog features top Prescott realtor Jan Cameron. Jan moved from Scottsdale and has called Prescott home for eighteen years. She advises individuals and families every day to find the right home, custom lot, or homesite to start or expand their life in Prescott.

Jan’s Top 5 Reasons to Call Prescott Home:

Enjoyable four-season climate

Prescott has relatively short winters that bring occasional snows which melt quickly. In the spring, the weather alternates between sun and rain, with beautiful spring buds and blooms.

Summers are warm and sunny and offer the perfect climate for outdoor activities and trips to surrounding lakes and mountains. Monsoon season occurs in July and August, bringing in cooler temperatures. Daytime mountain breezes keep the temperature from reaching the scorching highs of the lower lying desert areas in Arizona. Summer evenings often bring spectacular sunsets and a delightful coolness to the end of a summer day.

Fall brings delightful autumn colors as the foliage changes with the shorter, but still pleasant days. Temperatures stay in the 60’s to low 70’s. Sunshine averages about 300 days a year.

Outdoor Adventures—Golfing, Hiking, biking, etc.

Prescott has a spectacular natural environment for outdoor activities. The Ponderosa pines and mountain vistas have a rejuvenating effect on the heart, mind and spirit. It’s the perfect place to choose the day’s adventure, whether it’s golfing on a Championship golf course, hiking on one of the many trails located around Prescott, or having fun with a few hours of off-road biking.
