Pumpkin Fest at Mortimer Farms

Dewey, Arizona. Only seventeen miles outside of Prescott and home to the locally adored Mortimer Farms. Holding unique festivals and celebrations all year round, Mortimer Farms takes pride in creating events that spark spontaneity and may even begin a few family traditions. However, the Pumpkin Fest may be Mortimer Farms’ most sought-after event of the year.

From mid-September throughout October, wander through the farm to discover over forty farm-inspired activities, rides, and vendors, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the many live entertainment shows scattered throughout the farm.

But let’s not overlook the real reason you may want to visit the farm this time of year, access to the locally grown and abundant pumpkin patch. Whether you plan on decorating the porch, baking a pie, or carving a spooky jack-o-lantern, the patch has a pumpkin for you.

Another Mortimer Farm classic is the seemingly never-ending corn maze. Each year the Mortimer Family selects a unique theme for the corn maze and designs the path when the field is only inches tall. Creating a spectacular illustration only seen from the sky.

This year’s theme “still farming”, celebrates the long-awaited purchase of the farmland they have been leasing for ten years. Will you be able to navigate your way through the 10-foot-tall cornfield?

After picking out the perfect pumpkin and wondering your way through the corn maze, make sure to schedule a pitstop at the Mortimer Country Store. Take home handfuls of the latest harvest, a homemade pot pie, or even some local honey.

Mortimer Farms is just one local hotspot Prescott has to offer and with four beautifully mild seasons, there’s lots of time to explore.
