Prescott is known for great weather, western culture and a longstanding tradition of amazing summer activities. Whether you’re visiting Prescott for the first time, a regular guest, or a local, keep reading to see top events in one of the nation’s favorite summer destinations.

1. Prescott Antique Show & Vintage Market – June 2, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The annual Prescott Antique Show and Vintage Market features dealers from around Arizona and neighboring states. The event will be held on the Prescott Rodeo Grounds. The show will include antiques in every category, authentic vintage items from the 50s and 60s, as well as repurposed and rustic items.

Cost: Free – $3

2. Prescott Film Festival – June 7-15

Join Yavapai College Performing Arts Center as they host the 10th annual Prescott Film Festival. The event will feature movies from an array of genres including independent, foreign and documentary films.

Cost: $7 – $275 depending on type of ticket or event pass purchased

3. Good Rockin’ Live – A Salute to Sun Records 7-9 p.m.

This live concert pays tribute to the birth of rock ‘n’ roll and the artists that emerged from Sun Records. Featured artists include Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis.

1. Prescott Frontier Days Festivities – July 1-7

Prescott Frontier Days features week-long festivities for the entire community to enjoy. Start off with the World’s Oldest Rodeo and then dance your socks off at the Rodeo Dance. Don’t forget about the Frontier Days Fireworks Celebration and Rodeo Parade. For more information click here

2. Master Gardeners’ Plant & Yard Sale – July 13, 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Join the Yavapai County Master Gardener Association for their annual Monsoon Madness Plant and Yard Sale. Entry is free and you can find everything from herbs and trees, to shrubs and books, and garden art. A majority of the plants are grown by Master Gardeners and only cash sales are accepted.

Cost: Free event entry, plants and other items for cash purchase

3. Shootout on Whiskey Row – July 27

This annual two-day event is a favorite in Prescott. Put on by The Prescott Regulators & Their Shady Ladies, guests of the event feel as though they stepped into a time machine and entered the 1800s. With costume contests, entertainment and, of course, the authentic shootout re-enactment, there will be fun for the whole family.

1. 16th Annual Prescott Gem and Mineral Show – August 2-4

The annual Prescott Gem and Mineral Show brings together more than 60 vendors from four states to bring you the best and largest variety of gems, minerals, tools and other related products. The event is kid friendly and they have activities such as gold panning, geode splitting, raffles and more.

2. Sharlot’s WineFest – August 17, 4 – 7 p.m.

The 6th annual Sharlot’s WineFest is Prescott’s premier wine tasting event. With fine wine tastings, hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants and entertainment, this is the perfect event to unwind and end the summer with a bang.
